Our Founding Thesis

We're building the bridge
between emerging talent and startups.

Students should not have to rely solely on degrees and resumes to prove their potential. Startups should not have to process hundreds of generic applications to discover capable emerging talent. ShipIntern is building the structured bridge between the two.

The ShipIntern Formula
“The Fellowship is the entry point. Proof of Work is the evidence. ShipIntern Ready is the quality signal. The startup ecosystem is the opportunity layer.”

The Challenge for Students

Universities teach foundational theory and grade on compliance. But early-stage startups move at breakneck speed with incomplete instructions and require high personal agency. Students who graduate with strong academic marks often feel helpless when asked to demonstrate practical value in a startup setting.

We replace resume exaggeration with tangible Proof of Work: writing real code, formulating PRDs, conducting competitive teardowns, and communicating asynchronously.

The Challenge for Startups

Startup founders and early engineering leads lack dedicated HR departments. Opening a generic intern position brings hundreds of unvetted resumes, creating massive screening fatigue. Most of those applicants have never operated outside a classroom setting.

ShipIntern acts as an objective curation layer: we pre-evaluate candidates across 6 operational metrics so startups interview only prepared, high-signal fellows.

Early-Stage Transparency

A Serious Early-Stage Startup Built for the Long Term

ShipIntern is an early-stage company founded in 2026. We deliberately choose not to display fabricated partner logos, inflated placement numbers, or fake testimonial quotes. Our credibility is earned through the rigor of our 14-day fellowship, the transparency of our non-guarantee policy, and the quality of the Proof of Work our fellows produce.
